Ashton Raggatt Mcdougall

The storyhall in Melbourn (Ashton Raggatt Mcdougall) is an important source of inspiration of my model at this Workshop. Some pictures shows the style.

In my case, I am not using the original flat wall to form a space but several little cubes .It is a definition that form the whole  from individual part. The cubes capture subtle lighting effects to add the sense of organisation or hierarchy. All parts are individual but connected.  They are linked with each other by some sequence.

I am not putting them together optionally. There is an order when I putting each individual one on another. Like it smaller at left and becomes bigger as it goes right. The order should fit the esthetic principle and also consider about the shadow it form.

Something kindof messy turns into something shows the order and  consistency, this is what I want to have in my model.  It really gives some architecture thinking when I was doing this.

Storyboarding

What is Storyboarding?
From Wiki:
Storyboards are graphic organizers such as a series of illustrations or images displayed in sequence for the purpose of pre-visualizing a motion picture, animation, motion graphic or interactive media sequence, including website interactivity. (Wikipedia,<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Storyboard>,last edit 12 October 2010 )

My understanding:
For me, the easiest way to understand what is storyboarding is to compare it with how those catoon movies been done as they are similar, or maybe the same. Using pictures within one kind of order to show people something.

Some beatiful drawing got from internet and friends photocopy.
